M Electric: From No Map-Pack Presence to the Top Three Across Tulsa
M Electric is a family-owned electrical contractor serving the Tulsa metro, with residential, commercial and 24/7 emergency work. They had been paying another agency for ten months and still did not appear in the Google map pack for their own city.

The situation
M Electric came to us after ten months with a previous agency. The invoices were monthly, the reporting was not in plain English, and the business still did not show up in the map pack when someone in Tulsa searched for an electrician.
A rank scan taken around that time found the business in the top three at none of the points it sampled. Its average position across those points was about #19, which in practice means a customer would never see it.
What we did
Three things, in the order they mattered.
- Aligned the website with the Google Business Profile, so the services, the business details and the way customers are asked to get in touch say the same thing in both places.
- Updated citations across the internet: the directories and listings that carry the business name, address and phone, so the same details appear everywhere rather than three different versions.
- Rebuilt all of the content around what customers actually need to know, after a lot of research into what people in this market search for and what they expect to see before they call.
The research is the part that takes the time. Generic electrician copy ranks nowhere and convinces nobody. Making every page locally relevant means knowing which services people here search for, how they describe them, and which areas they expect a Tulsa electrician to cover.
What changed
The rebuilt site went live in June 2026. Visibility started moving in July. By August the business was showing in the Google map pack, and it held that position through September.
The later scan found M Electric in the top three at 58 of the 127 points sampled around the shop, with an average position of about #5.5 across the whole scan. The strongest coverage is through the core of the service area, thinning out toward the edges.
Why this worked
Nothing here is exotic. The previous arrangement had the business paying for activity rather than for pages that answer what customers search. Once each service had a page written for the person about to call, the website and the profile agreed with each other, and the whole thing worked on a phone, Google had something to rank.
The same method is set out on the local SEO page, including how an engagement runs month to month and how visibility is measured.
The evidence
Where the business appears now
Each dot is a location where a customer might be standing. The number is where M Electric appears in Google Maps for “electrician tulsa” from that spot.
- Top three
- 58 of 127 locations · 46%
- Average position
- #5.5
- The earlier and later scans covered different areas, so they are not compared point for point. The earlier scan was centered east of the shop; the later one is centered on the shop itself.
- The figures above describe where the business appears in Google Maps for the tracked search. They are not a measure of calls, jobs or revenue.
- Capture dates for the scans are not published here. The project timeline comes from the engagement itself.
